Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries or assembling sandwiches
- Upsell additional products or menu items to customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers
- Proficiency in operating a point-of-sale (POS) system for order processing and payment handling
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and the ability to follow proper hygiene practices
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic understanding of retail math for cash handling and inventory management
- Familiarity with the food industry and its standards for quality and service
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, calculating change, and tracking inventory levels
- Sales skills to promote additional products or menu items to customers
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks, such as brewing coffee or assembling sandwiches

Note: Prior experience as a barista is preferred but not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and passion for coffee.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
